E-Learning Unit (ELU)

Description of educational resources provided:
The e-Learning Unit (ELU) was established in 2001 to promote the use of educational technology in enhancing learning and teaching across the institution, within the context of St George’s teaching and learning strategy. Unusually, most of the ELU members have qualifications and experience as both bioscientists/teachers and as technologists. As a consequence, St George's has carved out a unique niche in the health and medical sciences, concentrating on the development of high quality web-based teaching content: ‘open learning’ resources in the form of over 400 ‘Key Topics’ covering the core of health sciences, and available as reusable teaching materials for all courses.
